Business Development Manager
Position Summary
Our Client is seeking a results-driven and strategic Business Development Manager to drive revenue growth, expand market presence, and develop strong customer relationships across Canada. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing sales strategies, and building partnerships that support the organization's growth objectives within the IT lifecycle services, data center infrastructure, and technology solutions marketplace.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales Growth
- Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities within enterprise, mid-market, channel, and public sector accounts.
- Generate and manage a robust sales pipeline through prospecting, networking, referrals, and strategic outreach.
- Develop and execute territory and account plans to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and business cases.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, procurement teams, IT leaders, and executive stakeholders.
- Serve as a trusted advisor by understanding customer business challenges and recommending tailored solutions.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through proactive engagement and ongoing account management.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful project execution and customer onboarding.
Strategic Partnerships & Channel Development
- Develop and strengthen relationships with technology vendors, distributors, channel partners, and strategic alliances.
- Identify opportunities to expand service offerings and increase market penetration.
- Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance brand awareness and generate leads.
Sales Reporting & Forecasting
- Maintain accurate customer records and sales activities within the CRM system.
- Prepare regular sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and performance updates for management.
- Monitor key performance indicators and implement strategies to improve sales effectiveness.
- Stay informed of market developments, competitor activities, and industry best practices.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and professional experience will be considered.
Experience
- 5+ years of business development, account management, or enterprise sales experience.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets in a B2B environment.
- Experience selling IT infrastructure, technology solutions, managed services, data center solutions, or related services is highly preferred.
- Experience working with channel partners and technology vendors is an asset.
