Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. This role is essential in supporting food preparation, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, proficient knife skills. Responsibilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, and measuring as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment in compliance with food safety standards
- Organize and stock supplies to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment
- Assist with line service when needed, especially during peak hours.
- Required to work weekends (Sat & Sun)
- Proven experience or familiarity with cooking techniques and kitchen procedures
- Proficient knife skills for precise food preparation
- Knowledge of food safety and handling practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not required
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members
