Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing refrigeration, HVAC systems, and related mechanical equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, schematics, and troubleshooting techniques to ensure optimal performance and safety across various commercial and industrial settings. The technician will work independently or as part of a team to deliver high-quality service and support ongoing maintenance operations.
Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain refrigeration units, HVAC systems, and related mechanical equipment
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to diagnose issues accurately
- Perform routine inspections to identify potential problems before they escalate
- Conduct plumbing and welding tasks as needed for system repairs or installations
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation of repairs performed
- Assist with system upgrades or modifications in accordance with safety standards and building codes
- Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to ensure efficient operation of all mechanical systems
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations during all tasks
Experience
- Proven experience working as an HVAC technician or mechanic with a focus on refrigeration systems
- Knowledge of plumbing, welding, boiler systems, and appliance repair is highly desirable
- Mechanical knowledge related to construction, schematics interpretation, and system troubleshooting
- Prior experience working with HVAC systems, boilers, or similar mechanical equipment is preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to read technical diagrams and schematics effectively
- Experience in maintenance roles within commercial or industrial environments is advantageous

Pay: $23.25-$50.00 per hour
