The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Project Manager and will assist with all aspects of project management including identifying business opportunities, estimating, scheduling, cost tracking, managing timelines, budgets and resources.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with project planning, performance and execution – including work plan development, estimating, scheduling and quality control
Build and maintain excellent relationships with all members of the project team, clients, contractors and consultants
Ensure the project meets the agreed to deliverables
Assist with the preparation of change orders and/or resolution of disputes with clients or sub trades
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 5 years related experience preferred not necessary
Experience in the construction industry. Familiarity with utility construction is preferred.
Able to employ engineering/construction plans/specifications methods and procedures.
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Must be able to read, write and speak English
Proficient with MS Office, including MS Project
Able to establish and maintain good working relationships with many different people including senior managers, clients and field personnel
Able to problem solve and take initiative
Able to travel across Canada
Must have valid driver’s license.
