Position Summary:
We’re looking for a banquet porter who plays a key role in supporting, banquets, weddings, meetings, and special events. This position is responsible for accurate room setups and tear‑downs, maintaining clean and organized event spaces, and assisting the banquet team as needed. You’ll work closely with banquet staff, and kitchen teams to help deliver a seamless guest experience.
Job Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Set up all banquet, wedding, and meeting rooms according to the guideline provided by the Events Manager

Tear down and reset rooms promptly after events in a timely and organized manner

Maintain cleanliness and organization of all banquet rooms, storage areas, and service spaces in accordance with company standards

Clean event rooms at the end of each function and prepare them for the next scheduled event

Transport empty bottles to the receiving area at the end of the night

Keep event bars clean, stocked, and organized

Assist with moving trolleys of dishes to the kitchen area

Work quietly and efficiently to avoid disturbing ongoing meetings or events

Complete the Banquet Checklist during and after each function

Ensure all equipment is handled safely and stored properly

Perform additional duties as assigned by manager to support smooth operations and excellent customer service.
Qualifications

Experience in banquet, events, hospitality, or labour roles is an asset
-
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow setup plans

Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team

Positive attitude and commitment to excellent guest service
Physical Requirements

Approximately 80% of the shift involves constant standing and walking
-
Ability to move furniture and equipment unassisted
-
Ability to lift 50+ lbs safely and repeatedly

Must be able to work flexible shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Ability to work extended shifts as required by event schedules
