Position Summary
We are seeking a permanent full-time General Labourer to join our team in Port Perry. This role supports our manufacturing, warehouse, maintenance, and installation activities. The ideal candidate is reliable, mechanically inclined, comfortable using hand and power tools, and interested in growing with the company.
This is a hands-on role with the opportunity to develop skills in manufacturing, mechanical assembly, warehouse operations, and field service support.
Responsibilities
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Support manufacturing tasks related to exhaust and ventilation systems.
- Assist with mechanical assembly, maintenance, and general shop work.
- Support warehouse-related tasks, including organizing materials and preparing items for jobs.
- Assist with installation and service-related work on-site and off-site as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow company safety procedures and workplace protocols at all times.
- Work with team members to help meet project deadlines.
- Assist with loading, unloading, material handling, and general labour tasks as needed.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing, shop, construction, or general labour experience is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with hand tools and power tools is highly desirable.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn.
- Physically able to perform manual labour, including lifting, standing, bending, and working with tools.
- Knowledge of basic safety procedures.
- Valid G driver’s license is an asset.
- Forklift certification is an asset.
