Job Summary
Two Queens Home Service Ltd. is hiring an experienced Interlock Installer to join our growing team in Ottawa.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, understands proper base prep and installation methods, and can work efficiently on residential outdoor projects. This role is ideal for a skilled installer with at least 3 years of hands-on interlock experience.
Experience with deck construction and pool projects is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Install interlock pavers, walkways, patios, and driveways
- Perform excavation, grading, and base preparation
- Set screed rails and prepare bedding layers properly
- Lay pavers accurately to line, grade, and pattern
- Cut pavers and wall stone cleanly and safely
- Install edge restraints, polymeric sand, and complete final compaction
- Assist with retaining walls and related hardscape features when needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site
- Work with foreman and crew to hit production and quality targets
- Help protect customer property and maintain a professional appearance on site
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience installing interlock
- Strong understanding of proper base prep, compaction, grading, and finishing
- Ability to read site layouts, string lines, and elevations
- Experience using saws, compactors, laser levels, and standard hardscape tools
- Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and working outdoors in all conditions
- Reliable transportation to job sites or yard
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and attention to detail
- Ability to work well with a team and follow direction
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with deck/cabanas construction
- Experience working on or around pool projects
- Experience with retaining walls, steps, coping, or outdoor living features
- Experience operating small equipment is an asset
