Duties
- Supervise and lead groups of school-aged children during various activities, including games, arts and crafts, homework help, and outdoor play.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that foster creativity, teamwork, and learning.
- Ensure the safety of all children by monitoring their behavior and maintaining a secure environment at all times.
- Support children with homework or tutoring needs, providing guidance and encouragement to promote academic success.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure a positive experience for everyone involved.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized activity space that is welcoming and conducive to learning.
- Follow all program policies and procedures related to child safety, health protocols, and behavior management.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices for engaging school-aged children.
- Ability to plan fun, educational activities that promote social interaction and skill development.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect positively with children, parents, and team members.
- Demonstrated responsibility in supervising children safely while fostering an inclusive environment.
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their growth through active engagement.
- Must have or be willing to obtain Responsible Adult Certificate
- Current 1st Aid certificate
Pay: From $18.25 per hour
