We are currently seeking a Paint Prepper with experience in automotive painting to join our team.
At JBS Equipment, we pride ourselves on our commitment to quality and innovation. As a rapidly growing company based in Mission, BC, we are growing our pump truck division and looking for experienced Paint Preppers.
Responsibilities:
- Prep equipment surfaces by masking, sanding, caulking, and cleaning
- Assist with repairing minor damage (cracks, dents, etc.) on equipment
- Support the painter with day-to-day tasks and help keep the process flowing
- Paint small parts as needed (training can be provided)
- Do basic assembly/disassembly work on machinery as part of prep
- Follow safety protocols and use appropriate protective gear
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
Qualifications:
- Experience working in a manufacturing or shop environment
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Good work ethic and team-oriented mindset
- Comfortable with physically demanding tasks (lifting, kneeling, climbing ladders, etc.)
- Ability to read safety data sheets; reading blueprints is a bonus but not required
- Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Reliable transportation to and from work

- Mission, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- automotive prep for painting: 1 year (preferred)
- automotive painting: 1 year (preferred)
