Paragon Solar is looking for a Red Seal Electrician!
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Red Seal Journeyperson Electrician to join our team, extra consideration will be given to those with their Alberta Masters. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing solar energy systems across various residential and commercial settings including off grid, hybrid and battery set ups.
Systems installed will be a combination of roof and ground mount so candidate must be comfortable at heights.
Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and electrical codes
- Read and interpret technical drawings including construction plans and electrical schematics
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to perform electrical work on industrial and commercial projects
- Work with low voltage systems and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to ensure proper operation of control systems
- Conduct renovations and upgrades of existing electrical infrastructure while adhering to safety standards
- Perform routine inspections to identify potential issues and perform preventative maintenance
- Collaborate with project teams to complete installations efficiently and safely
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed for compliance and future reference
Requirements
- Valid Journeyperson Electrician license or certification (Alberta Masters holders ideal)
- Proven experience with knowledge of construction, renovation, and maintenance projects
- Proficiency in reading schematics, and electrical diagrams
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment
- Familiarity with low voltage systems and programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
- Strong understanding of electrical codes, safety standards, and best practices
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work at heights and lift 25+lbs.
