Metrolinx is connecting communities across the Greater Golden Horseshoe. Metrolinx operates GO Transit and UP Express, as well as the PRESTO fare payment system. Our GO&UP Operations Commercial Management group is seeking a Coordinator, Commercial Management to assist with providing commercial oversight of Metrolinx’s a portfolio of partners and vendors.
What will I be doing?
- Managing day-to-day activities and administration for for the Operations Commercial Management [SC1] leadership team to meet established objectives, preparing detailed and timely reports for approval.
- Coordinating collection and confirming client requirements to advise Vendor Management staff of issues.
- Prepares and reviews complex documents for verification of Budget, Executive Summary, Contract Documents (Change Orders/Change Notices, Statements of Work, Work Orders, Internal Purchase Order), in order to help inform decisions.
- Coordinates and implements large scale Oracle transactions to accommodate errors or redistribution of cost center’s, account/location codes.
- Provides Purchase Order Closeout support and verification to the Procurement and Finance departments.
- Verifies that all required documentation is complete prior to Purchase Order requisition.
- Provides weekly/monthly review of Vendor Commercial Scorecards to communicate status of vendor and contract performance.
- Provides monthly reporting to illustrate Invoice Aging, and Spend report by Vendor
- Attend regularly scheduled meetings and prepare accurate meeting minutes.
- Provides coordination and administrative support for internal governance, cross-functional business planning and decision management process by gathering internal stakeholder inputs
Assist the Operations Commercial leadership team with tracking approvals, escalations, and outstanding commercial matters to support effective oversight and informed decision-making

What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need?
- Completion of a certificate in Business Administration, Project Management, or related field – or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent.
- Demonstrated years’ of relevant experience.
- Experience working for an owner/public sector agency involving large-scale infrastructure/transit projects would be considered an asset.
- Experience identifying problems, making recommendations, and implementing solutions.
- Strong focus on understanding and following process
- Strong written communication skills as well as, collaboration skills to work across various departments as well as, with different levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Knowledge of one or more of the following is considered an asset: competence in software such as Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Oracle E-Business Suite.
