Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Powder Coater to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying powder coating to various metal components, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet company standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare metal parts for powder coating, including cleaning, chemical treatment, masking, sanding, and surface preparation.
- Operate powder coating equipment safely and efficiently to ensure consistent and even coating application.
- Load, unload, and move materials using cranes, forklifts, or other lifting equipment as required.
- Inspect coated products to verify quality, appearance, and compliance with specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance on powder coating equipment and promptly report or troubleshoot operational issues.
- Assist with assembly, fabrication, or machining tasks as required to support production needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow company safety procedures and lean manufacturing practices to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production schedules and quality objectives.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of powder coating experience.
- Experience preparing metal surfaces for powder coating.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs (23 kg) on a regular basis.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
