REGIONAL INVENTORY COORDINATOR (College/University Graduates Welcome)
The Inventory Coordinator will be primarily responsible for supporting the procurement team through the procurement of goods while ensuring that inventory control functions, policies, and procedures are adhered to. This position will additionally be responsible for driving material cost savings, scheduling and tracking of shipments, inventory accuracy, investigation of variances, and expediting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Issuance of PO’s for assigned product lines through use of Below Line Point report
- Maintaining inventory levels to support sales
- Assist in the maintenance of branch buy flows and inventory control parameters
- Assist in managing and reducing obsolete inventories within the region
- Generation of commodity Requests for Quotation (RFQ)
- Cost analysis for assigned commodities and vendors
- Open order management; expediting, scheduling and tracking of purchase orders
- Ensuring best cost and accuracy of purchase order pricing
- Timing of receipts to maximize vendor terms and invested capital
- Backorder Replenishment
- Assist in the investigation of variances to determine root cause and perform corrective action
- Communicate supplier pick-ups with warehouse
QUALIFICATIONS
- Completion of a post-secondary degree from a recognized post-secondary institution, preferably in Commerce or Business related studies.
- Strong computer skills (MS Office – Word & Excel)
- Must be detail oriented with proven problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills, along with the ability to work within a team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must have the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast paced environment
