Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper/Cook to join our culinary team. Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation and meal assembly according to recipes and standards
- Cook and serve food items efficiently while maintaining quality and presentation
- Handle food safely, adhering to proper food handling procedures and hygiene standards
- Support kitchen staff with cleaning, sanitizing, and organizing kitchen equipment and work areas
- Ensure all food is stored correctly to prevent contamination or spoilage
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring supplies and notifying management of shortages
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with health regulations
- Support serving staff during busy periods by preparing ingredients or dishes as needed
Skills
- Experience in serving, food preparation, or cooking within a restaurant or food service setting preferred
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations
- Ability to perform meal preparation efficiently while maintaining quality standards
- Strong understanding of kitchen safety practices and sanitation protocols
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Prior experience in the food industry or restaurant environment is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is essential
