Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area. Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, along with familiarity with POS systems such as Lightspeed. The Server will play a key role in delivering memorable dining experiences through excellent customer service and efficient service skills.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus in a professional manner
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation quality
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, dining areas, and service stations
- Ensure food safety standards are met during food handling and serving
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen support as needed during busy periods
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during shifts
- Provide guest services that promote customer satisfaction and repeat business
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred
- Knowledge of POS systems, especially Lightspeed, is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to handle food safely and adhere to sanitation standards
- Basic math skills for cash handling and billing accuracy
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours
- Ability to serve guests efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
- Good communication skills and teamwork orientation
