Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team in the role of COOK. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic food service environment, providing exceptional dining experiences to our guests. The ideal candidate will have passion in preparation and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred with 5 years in a kitchen environment.
Duties
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Serve customers promptly and courteously, ensuring a positive dining experience
- Assist in food handling and safety procedures to maintain hygiene standards
- Cook and prepare meals as directed by kitchen supervisors or chefs
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and cooking areas
- Follow food safety protocols at all times, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure timely service
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth operations
- Weekly food inventory and ordering
- Opening and closing procedures
Skills
- Experience in food preparation, or food handling preferred and required
- Knowledge of cooking techniques and meal preparation methods
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and on own
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail in food presentation and quality control
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or evenings if needed
- Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere
