Canadian Tube Tooling Company Ltd., a manufacturer in Mississauga, requires a full time, highly motivated and skilled CNC Milling Machinist with experience using Fagor controls. This position is for full time employment (40 hours per week) located at 6720 Davand Drive, Unit #7. The successful candidate would be entitled to two weeks paid vacation per year and work hours would be negotiated upon employment.
Primary responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints & drawings (5%)
- Create programs on PC and using Fagor Controls on CNC machine (30%)
- Setup CNC machining tools (10%)
- Monitor operation of CNC machine (15%)
- Verify/ take measurements of parts produced by CNC machine (10%)
- Troubleshoot and make adjustments to Fagor Control on CNC machine, as required (20%)
Other responsibilities, as required:
- Clear work space (filing of drawings, returning tools, cleaning machines used, etc.) (5%)
- Communicate verbally & in writing (consult with manager regarding work assigned; document adjustments to programs/setup; create drawings as required (for example: when sample part is provided without drawing); communicate with customers, as required, etc. (5%)
- Operate manual machines (as required)
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years experience in programming, setup and operation of CNC milling machine using Fagor controls
- Formal education or training in related field
- Ability to read blueprints & drawings
- Ability to use various precision measuring tools
- Basic knowledge of manual machining equipment
- Good verbal and written English communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
