Overview
We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Electrician to join our team and gain hands-on experience in electrical systems within industrial and construction environments. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills under the guidance of experienced electricians, working on diverse projects that involve wiring, circuitry, and electrical installations. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, reliable, and interested in building a career in the electrical trade.
Responsibilities
- Assist licensed electricians with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in industrial and construction settings
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform wiring, conduit bending, and other electrical tasks
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to ensure accurate installation and troubleshooting
- Work with low voltage systems as well as high voltage components under supervision
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment
- Support the setup of electrical components according to specifications and project requirements
- Maintain organized work areas and ensure tools are properly stored after use
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems gained through coursework or prior experience in construction or related fields is preferred
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, schematics, blueprint reading, and low voltage wiring is a plus
- Prior experience as an industrial electrician or in electrical construction is desirable but not required
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in physically demanding environments
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Willingness to learn new skills and take direction from experienced professionals
- Must be at least 18 years old and able to work in various construction or industrial settings
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Pay: $18.15-$38.36 per hour
