Seeking an energetic, efficient and organized person to fill this front line role. The successful candidate will have a professional appearance and cheerful demeanour with the ability to multi-task and deal with a wide variety of people and situations. Must be willing to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Qualifications:
The right candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, strong communication and organizational skills, a professional telephone manner, strong computer skills and the ability to multi-task. The candidate must be self-motivated and willing to work as a team player. Hotel related experience is an asset, but not necessary.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Greet and interact with guests or patrons on all levels of their experience at the Resort while providing excellent customer service
- Answer phone calls in a professional and timely manner
- Process individual guest check-ins and check-outs
- Process group check-ins and check-outs
- Ensure guest registrations are updated and accurate
- Assign guestrooms to reservations, accommodating special requests when possible
- Answer guest and patron inquiries with knowledge of all the Resorts facilities, as well as the Penticton area
- Conflict resolution for basic guest needs and/or concerns
- Ensuring the privacy of all guests
- Basic accounting procedures including debit, credit and cash transactions as well as balancing transactions at the end of the shift
- Complete a daily shift checklist
- Liaise with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction
- Reporting of any issues or concerns to the Duty Manager on-shift
- Cross-training in reservations and bellperson role
