About Us
Burrard Queen has been one of Vancouver’s premier charter vessels for over 20 years, hosting weddings, corporate events, celebrations, and private cruises throughout Vancouver’s beautiful waterways.
We’re looking for energetic, professional bartenders who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment while delivering exceptional guest experiences aboard our vessel.
Position Summary
As a Bartender, you’ll be responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, providing outstanding customer service, operating our POS system, and ensuring the bar remains clean, organized, and well-stocked throughout each event.
Most shifts are approximately 5 hours, although they may be longer depending on the event.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages
- Provide exceptional customer service to guests
- Operate the TouchBistro POS system and process payments accurately using Square
- Handle cash, debit, and credit transactions
- Verify valid government-issued ID and comply with BC liquor regulations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar
- Track inventory and report low stock items
- Work collaboratively with the onboard event and hospitality team
- Follow all safety and responsible beverage service procedures
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of bartending experience (required)
- Serving It Right certification (required)
- Experience using TouchBistro POS
- Comfortable using Square payment terminals
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Professional, friendly, and reliable
- Comfortable working in an environment monitored by CCTV for safety and security
Job Details
- Job Type: Casual / Part-Time
- Approximately 10 hours per week (seasonal, event-based)
- Most shifts occur on weekends and evenings
- Work Location: In person (aboard Burrard Queen, Vancouver)
- Expected Start Date: ASAP
Compensation & Perks
- Starting pay from $20.00/hour
- 70% of all bartender tips shared between bartenders working the event
