We are currently seeking a Bilingual AR Credit & Collections Analyst for our client's finance department. Reporting to the Controller, the Credit & Collections Analyst is responsible for managing collection activities for dealer accounts to maintain established collection targets, minimize overdue balances, and control bad debt levels in accordance with company standards. This role also supports credit risk management by assessing customer creditworthiness and facilitating daily order releases.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, customer-focused, and experienced in commercial collections within a fast-paced business environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of dealer accounts and oversee collection activities for overdue receivables (30, 60, and 90+ days).
- Maintain collection targets, minimize bad debt, and monitor credit risk exposure.
- Establish payment arrangements and repayment schedules with customers.
- Review and release orders based on account status and credit risk.
- Resolve customer inquiries, account discrepancies, reconciliations, and disputed chargebacks.
- Prepare demand letters and provide regular account status reports to management.
- Assist with credit reviews for new and existing customers.
- Support month-end closing activities and special finance projects.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of commercial collections experience.
- College diploma or equivalent work experience required.
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience resolving disputed chargebacks and managing a high-volume account portfolio.
- Bilingual in French is a strong asset.
- Strong customer service, negotiation, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and ERP systems.
- Experience with credit reporting agencies (SICA, D&B, Riemer, Creditintel, or Global Credit Services) is an asset.
