Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to deliver goods efficiently across designated routes. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on safety, punctuality, and professionalism. Candidates should possess strong driving skills and be capable of handling heavy lifting tasks as needed.
Duties
- Safely operate trucks and commercial vehicles to transport goods to various locations according to schedule
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Load and unload ice, often requiring heavy lifting, while adhering to safety procedures
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, records, and documentation for each trip
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during transit
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during operations
- Assist with vehicle maintenance or reporting any mechanical issues promptly
Skills
- Proven experience in driving commercial trucks or similar vehicles - G license
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations governing transportation
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently when loading or unloading ice
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record
- Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
- Ability to stay alert during long hours on the road and handle stressful situations professionally
- Physical stamina for handling heavy lifting tasks and extended periods of driving
Pay: $21.00-$22.00 per hour
