We are currently seeking new talent in the part - time role of an Ophthalmic Technician to work in our busy OHIP division called Dr. Kranemann and Associates.
The successful candidate will be able to work under pressure, see large volumes of patients and adapt to the often-changing working environment. You must have a good understanding of basic computers skills and be able to type/ fill in EMR quickly once trained. You have strong command of the English language both written and verbally.
The duties of the Ophthalmic Technician are as follows but not limited to, promptly and professionally assists the doctor in patient care, performs technical workups, patient histories and special testing, maintains and cleans all equipment being used. Efficiently and accurately interview patients and document histories. Has experience with and can accurately perform; refractions w/retinoscopy, lensometry, keratometry, tonometry, visual fields, pupil exams, slit lamp examinations, topography, OCT, IOL Master, Ascans and assist surgeon in upcoming clinical trials.
The successful candidate will be working a variety of shifts and needs to be flexible with their availability ( days, evenings, occasional weekends) . You desire an environment where hard work and quality performance are rewarded.
Dr. Kranemann and Associates provides competitive compensation (depending on experience) . Minimum 2 years practical experience in a fast pace similar environment is a must and required.
