Summary Of Responsibilities
We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Outreach Worker to join our team in Claresholm, AB. In this role, you will play a vital part in connecting individuals with resources and opportunities that enhance their quality of life, aligning with our organization's mission of inclusion and support. This role is to assist 1 individual with developmental disabilities who lives independently to learn and maintain independent daily living skills and support parenting. Duties can include budgeting, attending health appointments, menu planning and grocery shopping, assisting with house cleaning, connecting with community resources and other areas as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in outreach, social work, or related fields.
- Successful Police Information Check (with Vulnerable Sector Check).
- Excellent communication and public speaking skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Leadership qualities and the ability to motivate others.
- Experience in data collection and reporting.
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
- Compassionate attitude with a commitment to community service.
- Prior experience working with adults with developmental disabilities is preferred
- Grade 12 or GED
- Post-secondary education in the rehabilitation field or related human services field preferred
- Knowledge of Personal Attendant Care Requirements preferred Access to computer and internet and Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
