Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating press brake machines to accurately bend and shape metal components according to blueprints and specifications. This role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and proficiency with various machining and fabrication tools. The CNC Press Brake Operator will play a vital part in ensuring high-quality production and adherence to safety standards within our manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC press brake machines for precise metal bending operations
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine specifications
- Program CNC press brakes using appropriate software to achieve desired angles and dimensions
- Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting on press brake equipment
- Use hand tools, calipers, and other measuring devices to verify part dimensions and quality standards
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the production process to ensure parts meet specifications
- Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials using cranes or forklifts as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety protocols
- Collaborate with team members on assembly, welding, or machining tasks as required
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating CNC press brake machines in a manufacturing setting
- Knowledge of CNC programming, laser cutting, plasma cutting, CNC lathe, milling machines, and related equipment is highly desirable
- Mechanical knowledge of machinery operation, calibration, and troubleshooting
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately
- Proficiency with hand tools, calipers, and quality inspection techniques
- Familiarity with crane operation and forklift safety is a plus
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations during setup and production processes
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality assurance
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment while adhering to safety standards
