Horticultural Technician
Parkside Landscaping is a landscape design/ build/ maintenance company, who have been creating distinctive landscapes since 1985.
With growing demand Parkside Landscaping London is looking to add experienced, energetic and knowledgeable professionals to join our team.
The ideal candidate will excel with ;
Spring/Fall Cleanups, Mulching, Topdressing / seeding, Pruning, shearing, plant installation, bed and shrub maintenance
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Weekly/Monthly bed and shrub maintenance
- Spring/Fall cleanups
- Leaf collection
- Mulching
- Topdressing/Seeding
- Core Aeration
- Seasonal pruning / deadheading
- Hedge trimming
- Tree trimming
- Disease identification, control and prevention
- Pest management
- Spraying
- Periodic lawn maintenance
- Plant material installation
Work Conditions:
- Fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work under pressure and complete projects within time restraints.
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
- Able to work long hours as needed
- Must be physically fit to preform all duties which includes lifting, pushing, kneeling and bending for an extended amount of time.
Qualifications:
- Attention to detail
- Positive attitude
- Exceptional problem solving skills
- Strong organization, leadership, and communication skills
- 2 years of garden maintenance experience ( not grass cutting )
- Strong Plant identification skills ( necessary )
- Ability to work in a team environment and on your own.
- 2 years minimum experience required.
- Horticulture and/or Landscape technician degrees are an asset.
- Valid Drivers License G required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00-$30.00 per hour
