Rozen Steelworks specializes in the fabrication of pressure piping, power piping, and structural steel. We have just opened our second shop and are taking on even more project work as we continue to grow. We are currently looking for dedicated Journeyman/Woman Welders to join the Rozen Steelworks team in Acheson, AB.
Requirements:
- Must be a Journeyman Welder from a recognized provincial training authority
- Must possess CWB Certification-FCAW Ticket
- A minimum of 2-3 years’ previous experience in a similar role
- Current Confined Space Entry ticket required
- Commitment to safety and safe work procedures
- Self-motivated with an attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Complete required WHMIS training
- Ability to work in confined spaces
- Ability to work with little supervision
Responsibilities:
- Perform basic cutting and welding of mild steel
- Understand various weld form symbols on weld drawings and size of fillet welds required
- Read and interpret work orders and produce work that adheres to specifications
- Weld in all positions
- Must be able to work in tight confined spaces
- Apply required procedural markings to the product
- Conduct required pre-job/pre-task inspections
- Monitor equipment, parts and tools for hazards, potential safety issues or down time
- Complete scheduled work in cooperation with the Foreman
- Inform the Foreman in case of any discrepancies in material, damage to or loss of equipment
- Maintain a tidy, clean and safe work area
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment at all times
- Other duties as required
Terms of Employment:
- Monday to Friday - 6:00 am to 4:30 pm - 50 hour weeks
- Overtime after 40 hours
- Steady employment backed by contracts secured through 2027
- Hourly rate is per Union Collective Agreement
