We are a growing Ottawa landscaping and hardscaping company offering residential and commercial sod installation, interlock, lawn maintenance, and irrigation services across Ottawa and the surrounding area. Job Summary
In this role, you'll be working alongside experienced team members on a range of residential and commercial projects across Ottawa. What that looks like day to day varies; sod installation one day, digging and hauling the next, helping set interlock the day after. The work changes, but the expectation stays the same.
Responsibilities
- Assist with sod, soil, mulch, plant, and tree installation according to project layout
- Help build patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other hardscape features
- Operate landscaping equipment including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools
- Perform general site tasks, digging, raking, edging, weeding, and cleanup
- Load and unload materials and keep the job site organized and safe
- Support irrigation system installation and basic maintenance
- Follow instructions from the crew lead or foreman and contribute to keeping the team on schedule
Requirements
- Previous landscaping experience - specifically sod installation, lawn maintenance and interlock is an asset
- Comfortable working outdoors in all conditions and keeping up with the physical demands of the job
- Ability to work long days when needed
- Able to lift heavy materials and sustain bending, kneeling, and standing throughout the workday
- Reliable, punctual, and brings a good attitude to the site every day
- Takes direction well and works effectively as part of a team
- Detail-oriented and cares about the quality of the finished product
