Bulk Receiver Operator
Inspect trucks for cleanliness and obtain required information from truck drivers prior to unloading of trucks to prevent biosecurity risks and ensure conformance of product
- Inspect and take a sample from every incoming truck load of product to ensure quality meets or exceeds the minimum company standard
- Check all transportation vehicles for contaminants prior to unloading.
- Ensure that incoming loads of corn and wheat, in addition to being weighed, have the required testing completed before unloading
- Monitor ingredient inventory levels in the inside silos, and transfer ingredients as required
- Help with the unloading bulk ingredients coming in from railcars
- When required, use a loader or forklift to transfer product in totes from the mill warehouse over to the receiving pit
- Report any receiving or loading equipment malfunctions, leaks or required repairs, working with the Maintenance Supervisor to schedule and manage equipment downtime
- Operate all machinery and equipment in a safe and responsible manner
- General Housekeeping as required
- Other tasks as assigned
Control Room Operator
- To accurately prepare mixes required for pellet production and bagging ensuring minimal suspension of operations.
- Prepare all “hand-add” ingredients.
- Perform medication reconciliations after each shift to ensure accurate usage.
- Ensure feed is produced following the CFIA sequencing guide to avoid contamination.
- Perform system flush after medicated feed production.
- Monitor and record inventory, daily.
- Work with customers and suppliers in a courteous and professional manner.
- Comply with Feed Assure Program and company Health and Safety Procedures
- Assist the Mill Supervisor with other duties as can be reasonably required
- Work additional hours to meet business demands.
- General Housekeeping as required
- Other tasks as assigned
Health and Safety
- Operate only equipment and machinery for which training has been received, in a safe and effective manner.
- Report any equipment malfunctions immediately to the Supervisor, having secured the equipment.
- Wear personal protective equipment as approved.
- Comply with and add to the improvement of all Company Health and Safety Policies.
- Must have a strong sense of the need for safe and healthy work environment.
Required Education and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid Class G license with a clean driver’s abstract
- Forklift Operator Licence/Certification considered an asset
- Class AZ License would be an asset
- Bilingual in French and English is required

- Must be able to lift a minimum of 25kg (55lbs) on a consistent basis
