Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with animals and providing exceptional grooming services to enhance their appearance and well-being. This role offers an opportunity to work in a friendly environment where customer service and animal care are our top priorities. The Groomer will be responsible for delivering high-quality grooming services, ensuring the comfort and safety of each pet, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
This is a commission-pay based job.
Groomers interested in leasing the room are also welcome to apply and inquire about lease rates.
Responsibilities
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling of pets according to client specifications
- Assess each animal’s coat, skin, and overall health to determine appropriate grooming procedures
- Handle animals gently and confidently to minimize stress and ensure safety during grooming sessions
- Maintain cleanliness of grooming tools, equipment, and work area to uphold hygiene standards
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about grooming needs and recommendations
- Manage appointment schedules efficiently to accommodate client requests and ensure timely service delivery
- Observe pets for signs of health issues or discomfort and report concerns to management or pet owners
- Uphold safety protocols for both animals and staff at all times
Requirements
- Prior experience in pet grooming
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients
- Ability to handle animals gently while maintaining control during grooming procedures
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting as needed when handling larger pets or equipment
- Compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Must be reliable, punctual, and committed to providing excellent pet care services
Pay: $15.00-$40.00 per hour
