We also operate Sugar & Ice (premium dessert & bubble tea café)
We’re looking for a creative, energetic Content Creator to help us produce scroll-stopping content that attracts new customers and showcases the best of what we offer.
About the Role
This is a flexible, contract-based position paid weekly based on deliverables—perfect for someone already freelancing, in school, or balancing another job.
You’ll create high-quality short-form content on your own schedule, as long as weekly deliverables are met.
You will be:
- Coming up with content ideas and simple scripts
- Filming on-site at our VR arena & Sugar & Ice
- Capturing equipment, gameplay reactions, food/drink shots, promos, etc.
- Editing vertical content for TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts
- Occasionally appearing in the content (optional but preferred)
- Filming others (staff, customers, talent) as needed
What You’ll Do
- Produce weekly video & photo content for social media
- Create polished short-form videos (influencer/TikTok style)
- Be comfortable being in front of the camera when needed
- Direct and film others for simple scripted shots
- Capture trending, fun, viral-style content
- Create content for both NextGen VR and Sugar & Ice
- Present content ideas, concepts, and scripts
- Deliver consistent weekly batches of high-quality posts
Requirements
✔ Must bring your own camera gear (phone + stabilizer okay if quality is strong)
✔ Strong video editing skills (CapCut, Final Cut, Premiere, etc.)
✔ Experience creating TikTok/Reels-style content
✔ Comfortable appearing on camera when needed
✔ Must submit a social media profile or portfolio as proof of skill
✔ Creative, self-directed, and able to meet weekly content quotas
✔ Reliable transportation to Kitchener
Nice to Have:
- Prior influencer experience
- Experience with food content or gaming/entertainment niches
- Ability to spark trends and come up with viral ideas
Compensation
Weekly contract pay, based on deliverables.
This is NOT hourly—pay depends on volume and quality of content produced each week.
