Contract Hybrid Opportunity – Structural Steel Estimator
Location: Canmore, Alberta
BowCor Custom Metal & Welding, the most recommended welding shop in the Bow Valley, is seeking an experienced Structural Steel Estimator to join our team on a contract, hybrid basis. This role offers flexibility to work remotely while collaborating with our office and production teams as needed.
We are a well-established structural steel and custom metal fabrication company with a strong reputation for quality, precision, and reliability. Our diverse client base includes homeowners, general contractors, municipalities and developers. We take pride in delivering exceptional projects while fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
The successful candidate is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates and bid proposals for structural steel fabrication, welding, and installation projects, and material takeoffs. This role analyzes project drawings, specifications, labour requirements, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs to develop detailed bid proposals. The estimator works closely with project managers, engineers, fabricators, suppliers, detailers and clients to ensure estimates align with project requirements, helping drive successful project outcomes.
