The Policy, Public and Legal Affairs Branch is looking for a Strategic Media Advisor for an indeterminate position. The position is classified as a RÉ-05 (from $77,281 to $102,535 per annum - under review).

JOB OVERVIEW
As part of the Public, Legal and Corporate Affairs Branch of the National Capital Commission, the Strategic Media Division tells the NCC’s story in a strategic, coherent and innovative manner, while contributing to the achievement of corporate objectives. It oversees the organization’s digital communications, corporate communications, media relations and marketing activities.
The Strategic Media Advisor is responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating corporate communications, marketing strategies, plans, campaigns and inclusive communications products for a diverse range of internal and external target audiences.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in communications or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.
EXPERIENCE: A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in communications or marketing, including;
- Writing communication for a variety of applications and platforms, including speeches, web content, social media and corporate communications.
- Developing, implementing and evaluating strategic communications plans in coordination with clients and external partners.
- Managing media relations and complex issues.
KNOWLEDGE
- Of project management, including planning, organizing, coordinating and reviewing deliverables
- Of communications processes, practices, theories and principles

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Possess or eligible to obtain Secret security clearance.
- Linguistic profile: Bilingual CBC.
- Position is in the National Capital Region. The person selected for this position must reside within a commutable distance from the workplace.
