Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our dealership team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers needing vehicle maintenance and repairs, ensuring a seamless and positive service experience. This role combines technical understanding with exceptional customer service skills to facilitate repairs, upsell services, and build lasting client relationships.
Duties
- Greet customers promptly and professionally upon arrival, assessing their vehicle needs.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain repair recommendations and service options.
- Write detailed repair orders, accurately documenting customer concerns and vehicle issues.
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize and schedule repairs, ensuring timely completion.
- Upsell additional services or maintenance based on customer needs and vehicle requirements.
- Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately at the point of service.
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and foster repeat business.
- Maintain organized records of all service transactions and customer interactions.
- Stay informed about current automotive repair techniques, dealership promotions, and service offerings.
Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in a dealership service department is required.
- Strong mechanical knowledge or mechanic experience to understand vehicle issues thoroughly.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Sales aptitude with a focus on upselling additional services professionally.
- Proficiency in cash handling and basic administrative tasks.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
