Duties & Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Service Excellence
- Provide warm, professional, and attentive service from greeting to farewell
- Guide guests through the menu with detailed knowledge of ingredients, preparation methods, and daily features
- Offer thoughtful wine, cocktail, and beverage recommendations to enhance the dining experience
- Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly and courteously
- Handle special requests, dietary restrictions, and guest concerns with professionalism and care
Menu & Beverage Knowledge
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all food and beverage offerings, including wine pairings
- Accurately describe Italian dishes, preparation styles, and featured ingredients
- Stay informed about seasonal menu changes and daily specials
Service Execution
- Accurately input orders into the POS system and ensure timely delivery of courses
- Coordinate closely with kitchen and bar teams to maintain smooth service flow
- Properly pace tables to align with kitchen timing and guest expectations
- Execute wine service and beverage presentation according to established standards
Team Collaboration
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with kitchen, bar, and fellow service staff
- Assist teammates during peak service to ensure overall guest satisfaction
- Participate in pre-service meetings and contribute positively to team culture
- Prepare and present bills accurately; process payments efficiently
Operational Responsibilities
- Complete opening and closing side duties, including polishing glassware and flatware, stocking service stations, and maintaining cleanliness
- Uphold health, safety, and sanitation standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional appearance
