Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Kitchen Supervisor to oversee daily kitchen operations in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food industry knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional food service. This role involves supervising kitchen staff, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and coordinating food preparation and service to provide an outstanding dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including cooks and food handlers
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure quality standards are met
- Manage food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Assist in menu planning and ingredient ordering to maintain efficient kitchen operations
- Train new staff on food handling, safety procedures, and service standards
- Monitor kitchen inventory levels and manage stock rotation
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in accordance with sanitation standards
- Lead by example in serving customers with professionalism and hospitality
- Collaborate with restaurant management to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience within the food service or restaurant industry
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations
- Experience in restaurant management or hospitality roles preferred
- Excellent team management and leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff
- Familiarity with food handling procedures and health standards
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional communication skills with a focus on customer service and teamwork
- Previous experience in the food industry, especially in a supervisory capacity, is highly desirable
Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
