IronEyes Monitoring is an Edmonton-based and next generation mobile monitoring company. As a Monitoring Specialist it is your duty to actively monitor our customers sites from our IronWatch Centre.
- Real-Time Monitoring Oversight: Monitor sites covered by live IronEyes Towers and units. Review and escalate violations. Provide hands-on assistance with aging or complex alarms, phone calls, or customer inquiries when needed.
- Alert Response and Escalation: Oversee protocols for responding to violations. This may include notifying law enforcement, site supervisors, key-contacts, or on-call responders; documenting actions; and ensuring graduated responses (e.g., warnings before arrests). Coordinate with field teams for installations, removals, or site checks. Using Two-Way, Talk Down Megaphone in a confident and commanding fashion is of the utmost importance.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure adherence to company policies, contractual obligations (e.g., with courts or agencies), and regulatory standards. Generate reports on alerts, violations, system performance, and team metrics. Maintain accurate records of monitored individuals, equipment status, and incidents.
- System and Equipment Management: Monitor the health of monitoring software, communication systems, and hardware. Troubleshoot basic technical issues, coordinate maintenance, and ensure data integrity.
- Communication and Coordination: Act as the point of contact for customers and other key stakeholders. Communicate clearly and effectively with direct report. Facilitate clear information flow during emergencies or high-priority events. Handle customer/alarm-related calls as needed.
- Emergency and Crisis Management: Lead the team during major incidents, enforce protocols, and ensure rapid decision-making in the control room environment. This may include prioritizing alerts and deploying resources.
- Training and Quality Assurance: Train staff on monitoring software, procedures, and best practices. Conduct quality checks on operator performance and continuously improve processes for efficiency and accuracy.
- Administrative Tasks: Track work progress, participate in recruitment/selection, manage shift handovers, and report to higher management (e.g., Control Room Manager or Operations Director).
The IronWatch Centre operates 24/7 so evenings and weekend work is a requirement.
Pay: $19.00 per hour
