Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Carpenter Helper to support our construction and renovation projects. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various carpentry and construction tasks. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, reliable, and capable of assisting skilled tradespeople in completing high-quality work efficiently and safely.
Duties
- Assist carpenters with measuring, cutting, and installing materials
- Load and unload tools and construction materials
- Maintain a clean and organized job site
- Operate basic hand and power tools safely
- Help with framing, drywall, trim work, and general construction tasks
- Follow safety procedures and supervisor instructions
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of construction principles and carpentry practices
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, masonry equipment, or woodworking is desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks safely
- Strong attention to detail with good organizational skills
- Reliable transportation and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Willingness to learn new skills and take direction from experienced tradespeople
- Construction or labour experience is an asset
- Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Valid driver’s license
