Position: Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) Operator

We are a growing Canadian energy services company providing Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) solutions to operators across Western Canada. We're seeking motivated, safety-focused individuals to join our field operations team as MPD Operators.
This hands-on position offers the opportunity to work with industry-leading pressure control equipment alongside an experienced team dedicated to operational excellence. You'll gain valuable field experience while supporting safe and efficient drilling operations in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the rig-up, rig-down, installation, and commissioning of MPD equipment.
- Operate and monitor Managed Pressure Drilling equipment under the direction of the MPD Supervisor.
- Monitor well pressures, flow rates, and operational parameters during drilling activities.
- Perform pressure testing and routine inspections of MPD equipment.
- Assist with troubleshooting equipment and report operational issues promptly.
- Complete daily reports, maintenance records, field documentation, and safety checklists accurately.
- Perform preventative maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs on equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Participate in daily safety meetings, hazard assessments, and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).
- Work collaboratively with drilling contractors, client representatives, and fellow crew members.
- Follow all company, client, and regulatory safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous oilfield experience preferred.
- Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD), Underbalanced Drilling (UBD), or pressure control experience is considered an asset.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Willingness to travel and work rotational schedules.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs (36 kg).
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, climb, bend, kneel, and perform physically demanding work for extended periods.
- Ability to work extended hours, including nights and weekends, as operational requirements dictate.

Pay: $35.00-$50.00 per hour
