We are currently looking for EXPERIENCED SKILLED LABOURERS
- Interior Finishing: MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN Millwork & Doors
- Exterior Finishing: MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN Drywall, Roofing
- Framing: MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE in Framing
- General Labour: MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE moving materials/heavy lifting
Under the direction and leadership of the Foreman and respective Lead hands, our Skilled Labourers are responsible for all general construction duties in our modular unit construction plant. They will ensure work tasks are performed safely in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety Legislation and company policies and that work is performed with a high level of quality and timeliness.
Working Conditions:
- Full time work week
- Overtime as required
- Working an in indoor environment
- Working in and around noise and dust
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in the construction of modular building components including exterior finishing, framing, roofing ect
- Assist in the construction & renovations of modular building components including floors, walls, and roofs
- Assist in the assembly and installation of doors, windows, trim, and mill work including the hardware and painting
- Gather and move materials as and when needed to and from points within the plant
- Clean and detail units
- Use hand and power tools
- Follow all safety procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED
- A minimum of 2+ years construction/ renovation experience
- Valid Fall protection, CSTS-0.9/20, WHMIS 2015, and Standard First Aid an asset
- Ability to take direction and follow through on instructions
- General construction safety knowledge
- Committed dedication to safety; reflected in practice and experience
- Strong focus on customer satisfaction
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a demanding environment
- A team player with strong people skills
Physical Requirements
- Stand or walk for long periods of time
- Ability to stand, crouch, and kneel for long periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 25kg
- Climbing stairs/ladders regularly
- Exposure to hazards such as heights, power tools, slips, falls, falling objects, and sharp hand tools
