Overview
Northern Regional Construction Association is seeking a Communications and Education Coordinator to join our team. Reporting directly to the CEO, this position plays an important role in supporting the Association’s communications and education programming activities across Northern BC’s construction industry.
This position is well-suited to someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
Communications and Member Engagement
- Manage and maintain the Association’s social media platforms
- Prepare newsletters, member communications, and email campaigns
- Maintain and update website content
- Support member engagement and promotional activities
- Assist with event and program communications
Education and Training Coordination
- Coordinate course registrations and enrollment
- Maintain relationships and communication with training providers
- Prepare and distribute course completion certificates
- Support administration and communication related to the Gold Seal Program within the region
- Assist with training logistics and participant communication
Governance and Board Support
- Coordinate communication with the Board of Directors
- Prepare and distribute board meeting materials at the direction of the CEO
- Attend meetings and accurately record meeting minutes
- Support meeting scheduling, agendas, and governance documentation
- Maintain organized and confidential governance records
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience with governance processes, board meetings, and minute-taking is required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and virtual meeting platforms
- Experience with social media management, Canva, and website updates is considered an asset
- Experience in a non-profit, association, administrative, or communications role is considered an asset
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary of $57,000
