Framing for foundations and house framing
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Lead Hand to support our construction projects. The ideal candidate will assist with various tasks on-site, ensuring smooth operations and maintaining high standards of quality and safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in construction management, with potential for growth into supervisory positions. Candidates should possess a strong work ethic, familiarity with construction processes, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics.
Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day construction site activities, including material handling and site cleanup
- Support project teams in implementing construction plans and schedules
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to aid in project execution
- Contribute to quality control efforts by inspecting work for compliance with specifications and standards
- Help monitor project progress, ensuring tasks are completed on time and within scope
- Support budgeting activities by tracking materials and labor costs as directed
- Collaborate with supervisors to ensure safety protocols are followed at all times
Skills
- Proficiency in general construction such as framing, siding, roofing, drywall and insulation
- Experience supervising or assisting in construction projects is preferred
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately
- Familiarity with quality control processes and safety standards on construction sites
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and project managers

Experience:
- Carpentry: 1 year (required)
- Concrete forming: 1 year (preferred)
- Framing carpentry: 1 year (preferred)
