We are seeking a passionate Director of Child Care Services to lead our team at Centennial Day Care in Victoria, BC Canada. This pivotal role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring high standards of early childhood education, and fostering a positive environment for children and staff alike. You will be working in a classroom of 20 children (30 months-School Age) , and 3 ECE's with a private office on location.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the daily operations of the daycare to ensure a safe and engaging environment for children.
- Develop and implement educational programs aligned with best practices in early childhood education.
- Supervise and support teaching staff, fostering professional growth and teamwork.
- Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and safety standards.
- Collaborate with families to promote children's well-being and development.
- Manage administrative tasks including budgeting, staffing, and resource allocation.
- Advocate for the needs of children with diverse abilities by supporting inclusive practices.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and collaborative workplace culture.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in early childhood education or caregiving roles.
- Strong classroom management skills
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs.
- Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
- Knowledge of licensing requirements and safety standards in daycare settings.
- Ability to foster an inclusive environment supporting diverse learners.
- Passion for early childhood development and community engagement.
- Prior supervisory or managerial experience is preferred.
Pay: From $36.75 per hour
