BUILDING MAINTENANCE & RESTORATION TECHNICIAN
Huard Building Preservation is a Vancouver-based building restoration company specializing in the preservation and maintenance of commercial, institutional, and multi-family buildings.
We are looking for a hands-on technician who enjoys varied work and takes pride in quality craftsmanship. This is not a repetitive production job. One week you may be restoring a stone lobby floor, the next repairing concrete, applying protective coatings, cleaning building facades, or performing roof and building envelope maintenance.
This position is ideal for someone with experience in construction, building maintenance, concrete, stone, waterproofing, coatings, roofing, pressure washing, or a related trade.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Concrete repairs and surface preparation
- Stone, tile, terrazzo, and concrete restoration
- Building facade cleaning and maintenance
- Roof maintenance and protective coatings
- Sealant and waterproofing work
- Equipment operation including grinders, polishers, pressure washers, and specialty restoration tools
- Work safely on construction sites, commercial buildings, and strata properties
- Assist with project setup, material handling, and quality control
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 3+ years of construction, maintenance, restoration, or trade experience
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors year-round
- Ability to lift materials and perform physically demanding work
- Valid BC driver's licence with clean driving record
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional appearance and attitude when working around clients and building occupants
IDEAL EXPERIENCE (NOT REQUIRED)
- Concrete repair or finishing
- Tile or stone installation/restoration
- Waterproofing or coatings
- Roofing or building envelope maintenance
- Pressure washing and exterior cleaning
- Swing stage, lift, or fall protection training
- Commercial building maintenance

You must be fully available to work variable hours, averaging between 30 and 60 hours weekly, depending on seasonal demand, including weekends, evenings, and extended hours as needed.
