Apprentice Plumber (2nd or 3rd Year) – Residential Plumbing
We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable 2nd or 3rd Year Apprentice Plumber to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in residential plumbing rough-ins, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Install residential plumbing systems during rough-in stages of construction.
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and plumbing layouts.
- Install drainage, venting, and water distribution systems according to code requirements.
- Assist Journeyman Plumbers with residential construction projects.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Ensure all work meets company quality standards and applicable plumbing codes.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, builders, and other trades on site.
Qualifications Required:
- Currently registered as a 2nd or 3rd Year Apprentice Plumber with an active apprenticeship.
- Minimum 1–3 years of residential plumbing experience, with a strong background in rough-in installations.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driver's abstract.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and maintain a strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Physically capable of performing plumbing duties.
- Preferred Assets:
- Experience with residential new-home construction.
- Service plumbing experience.
- Familiarity with Alberta plumbing codes and industry standards.
