About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join our school faculty. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching Ontario secondary school science courses, a strong understanding of current scientific developments, and the ability to inspire students to think critically and analytically.
Responsibilities
- Teach science courses in alignment with the Ontario Secondary School Curriculum (Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics).
- Prepare engaging lessons that promote inquiry-based learning and scientific literacy.
- Design and administer assessments in accordance with Ontario Ministry standards.
- Support student success through differentiated instruction and individualized guidance.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and share best practices.
- Participate in staff meetings, school events, and professional development activities.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher in Science, Education, or a related field (PhD preferred).
- Qualification to teach Senior Science (Intermediate/Senior division preferred).
- Proven experience teaching high school science in Ontario or a comparable system.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
Preferred
- Experience with IB (International Baccalaureate) or AP (Advanced Placement) science programs is highly desirable.
- Experience in private, international, or college preparatory schools.
- Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
