Overview
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Construction Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential to commercial developments, contributing to the successful completion of construction tasks. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, safety awareness, and a willingness to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Assist with the preparation and setup of construction sites, including material handling and site cleanup
- Support skilled trades such as carpentry, masonry, electrical, plumbing, and welding teams
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to assist with project execution
- Perform concrete forming, finishing, and restoration tasks as needed
- Install flooring, tile, cabinets, and perform painting or caulking tasks to meet project specifications
- Assist with demolition, site excavation, and other foundational work
- Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a secure work environment for all team members
Qualifications
- Prior experience in construction or related fields is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Basic knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating is a plus
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation is desirable
- Skills in masonry, concrete finishing, tile laying, carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, or welding are advantageous
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the workday
- Strong attention to safety procedures and ability to adhere to OSHA standards
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license are preferred for site access and material transport
