Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Tennis Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tennis instruction, along with excellent communication skills and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with players primarily in the 24-49 yr age bracket, with skill levels mostly in the NTRP 1.5 thru 3.5 levels. BreakPoint is Canada’s largest adult focused tennis club; providing our Coaches unique opportunities to umpire within our popular tournament & challenger events as part of player development.
Duties
- Plan and deliver engaging tennis lessons tailored to players’ skill levels, from beginners to advanced athletes
- Demonstrate proper techniques for strokes, footwork, and game strategies
- Provide constructive feedback to help players improve their skills and confidence
- Organize and supervise practice sessions, drills, and match play
- Ensure the safety of all participants during activities and maintain a safe playing environment
- Assist with the setup and maintenance of tennis courts and equipment
- Promote a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages participation and enjoyment of the sport
Skills
- Proven experience in teaching tennis
- Strong communication skills to effectively instruct and motivate players
- Ability to demonstrate proper technique and provide clear feedback
- Enthusiasm for working with young adults in both 1 on 1 & group environments
- Patience, adaptability, and a passion for promoting physical activity through tennis coaching
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00-$50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 20 per week
