We are seeking a Senior Technologist/Project Manager to work in a fast paced environment based in our Regina Office.

We are looking for a well-rounded individual, with a go-getter attitude, who has the ability to work as a part of a team on Oil and Gas, Construction, and Legal Survey Projects. The right candidate will work closely with clients to evaluate and manage project needs, time frames and costs as well as provide technical support within the projects being worked on.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate would assist the Branch Manager in office management and complete the following tasks as required
- Supervise CAD technicians
- Complete layout calculations and check legal, construction, and civil works plans
- Review field work and schedule drafting
- Provide quotations
- Maintain and expand client relations
- Evaluate new projects by developing scope of work, estimates and proposals
- Prepare project work instructions
Broad knowledge of the survey industry is required and the ideal candidate would have the following qualities:
- Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with other employees, clients and, management ensuring that service performance exceeds industry standards
- Attention to detail to ensure that all deliverables are thoroughly checked in a timely manner
- Ability to work in a team setting with Senior Management, Employees, and Clients to achieve project and company objectives
- Ability to Supervise, instruct and lead staff in daily operations
- Active participation in the Meridian Surveys Safety Program
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to frequent project changes
Education:
- College technical diploma, degree in Geomatics Engineering Technology or similar related experience or education is preferred but industry experience is valid as well.
- AutoCAD, specifically Civil 3D, is an asset but not a requirement
Knowledge, Competencies, Abilities:
- Minimum 5 years experience in the Land Surveying industry.
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision and must be able to complete assigned work in a timely manner, especially when faced with a time sensitive project.
- Must be capable of carrying out all duties as instructed by Branch Manager.
- Must be able communicate with the Branch Manager, Drafting Manager, office associates, field staff and Senior Management.
