Job Title: STS HSE Administrator
Reports To: STS HSE Specialist / HSE Leadership
Location: Grande Prairie, AB
Position Summary:
Source Energy Services is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented entry-level HSE Administrator to support health, safety, and environmental activities within our Trucking Operations.
This role is a great opportunity for someone starting their career in safety or looking to build experience in a transportation or industrial environment. You will work closely with the HSE team and operations leaders to help maintain safe work practices, support compliance, and promote a strong safety culture.

What You’ll Be Doing:
HSE Support & Compliance
- Assist the HSE team in supporting company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements;
- Help identify hazards and support risk assessments in day-to-day operations; and
- Participate in observations to promote safe work practices.
Training & Orientation
- Help coordinate and deliver new hire orientations;
- Support tracking of training records and employee competencies; and
- Attend and support daily safety meetings and discussions.
Transportation Safety Support
- Assist with reviewing driver logbooks and electronic logging data;
- Help maintain driver files and ensure documentation is up to date; and
- Support the team with safety and compliance systems.
Programs & Procedures
- Assist with updating safety procedures and documentation;
- Support contractor onboarding and basic compliance checks; and
- Participate in emergency planning activities and drills.
Incident Support & Improvement
- Help with incident reporting and basic investigations;
- Assist in tracking follow-up actions and improvements; and
- Provide general support to the HSE and operations teams as needed.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in an HSE or safety support role.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with field and office teams.
- Working knowledge of Alberta and British Columbia OHS requirements, WCB, and the National Safety Code (NSC).
- Knowledge of Federal Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
What Will Help You Succeed:
- Experience supporting transportation or trucking operations.
- Familiarity with ELD systems, driver compliance auditing, and safety management software.
- Be a proactive self-starter who actively provides solutions when faced with opportunities;
- Proficient with Microsoft office suite;
- Strong aptitude for detail;
- Above average organizational abilities to manage multiple and overlapping projects.
